If you already know the guy and talk on a regular basis then when your are talking just say something like "It's cool talking/hanging with u. We should do it more." See what his reaction is, then say when where u want to take him or meet up.
If u don't know him then u should go up to him and start a conversation about whatever topic is entertaining and relevant to the situation. Then U can ask him if he wants to meet up sometimes or u can ask for him # and do it over the phone. Don't let anyone tell u that girls don't make the first move. They r all idiots. It's good that u r not like that. Good Luck!

Ask him if he'd like seeing a movie, and imply that there will be other people there. Then when he comes say that your other friends didn't show up! That's the best and least embarrassing way.

well it depends.if youare shy to talk to him near his friends, take him somewhere private and say" hey this will only be a minute will you go out with me?" or if you arnt just say "heyyy! you wanna go out?"
