ok we broke up. we are in love. we can't talk to eachother. after we start talking again we make a promise to eachother to be true to one another. we get back together. i later found out she had been messing around. this was before the promise. but still keep in mind she loves me. i have asked her about it and she lies to my face. she doesn't want to count the time apart as time lost. is it cheating

You sound very immature. If you want to be a real man, then grow up. Reality is, if you are broke up then that means neither of you have any kind of hold or promise on each other. If you broke up then it is BROKE UP!!! You can not be broke up and have a commitment. Reality is that there are two people with different minds and thinking. It is very unfair and childish to tell someone to go away, but to wait for you. You can not Break UP and then think any person in their right mind would consider a promise to stay true to you, just because you want to do something else. Grow up and move on. Love is out there but not with this girl. Even if she loves you she is intelligent enough to know that you are gone out of her life. It is over and done. Move on. If you get back together then what she did between times is her business and not yours. You and her were broke up and the ties were severed, cut, let loose, or dissolved. Only an immature, small minded, low esteem, sick minded, and selfish individual would think that they can break up with someone and still have control of her.

Once you lose trust you will never get it back, no matter how hard you try or want it to work out. I've been there and it just never works again, no matter how much you love her. So keep your dignity and move on before she cheats on you while you are "together" and you end up hating her.

If her conscious was clean, she wouldn't lie. The fact that she was so quick to fool around with someone else makes me think that she isn't as loyal to you as you might be to her. If you truly love someone, you aren't so quick to get intimate with anyone else. Lying about it afterwards just makes everything worse. I wouldn't be able to trust her after that.
Is it cheating? Technically, I would say no. But... sometimes technicalities are just excuses for doing the wrong thing. I think she cheated on you.

I couldn't go on with the relationship if I were you. I couldn't get past it and especially if she's lying to your face now. I'd end it.

Quit fooling yourself.........If you were'nt together anyway, why does she lie? Hell, maybe she's actually cheated when you've been together. You can stay and play, or choose to go away....(your call)
