Any dye product whether it be a home dye solution or at the salon will cause cancer, and of course over time they will make your hair dry and brittle if used too much.

Used for any prolonged period of time, you will end up with dry, brittle hair. Hair color is a very harsh chemical & can wreak havoc with your hair. If you must color it, have it done professionally, & keep it trimmed often. When it's time for a touch up, just have the regrowth done. Pulling the hair color out to the ends each time is not necessary & will keep your hair from getting all dryed out. Make sure you keep your hair conditioned well!!!!

for one you can get extremly unpredictable results (green, grey, reds, orange). for two, they use allot harsher chemicals in box color than prof. color. Prof. color is infused with conditioning agents. That's why if your hair is in decent condition to begin with, you can repeat processes if needed, like if your hair didnt turn out as dark/light as you wanted, you can redo the process w/o totally crapping out your hair. If you were to do the same with box color, you're lucky you have any hair in the end.
