Disinformation is subversion. Starting a rumor that is a lie, in order to turn the people of a Nation(s), against each other.
The real concern is the Seuz Canal and Persian Gulf Region. Which is a major source of World Shipping and Trade.
If that area was successfully blocked off, it would destroy
the World Economy!
This is exactly what the Bible warns that the Medes and
Persians, (Iran), Libya, and Ethiopia will try to do. Look at their locations on the map. This alliance is mentioned in
Ezekiel. I think 38:5, or around there.
This will bring about World War.
But whether it will happen before the worldwide earhquake, (Isaiah 24), because the U.S keeps agitating. Or after. When the Nations of the World are weakened. Remains to be seen.

1) The suez canal is indeed important for world trade, but if it were blocked off ships from the far east could still acess America and Europe through Panama.

2) Look at an atlas. Iran, Libya and Ethipoia are all too far away to be able to block off the canal.

3) Oil is far more important to the global economy than shipping.

4) Are you sayting the Bible anticipated current events? Because if it did, why did it instead of saying 'Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: [and] many people with thee' say 'There will be a country called Iran and it will try to block off international shipping"?

The Bible passages you mention could have described any mid-eastern event for the last 500 years.

5) What is this even doing here? Why isn't it in P&G?

Another concern, which people do not seem to be understanding. Is that some of those Islamic Extermists have one goal - World Domination. They want nothing more than to control the whole planet, under their ideals. And if you do not believe in it - you are killed.

There is no negotiating with them, they do not consider anyone who does not hold to their ideals worthy enough to discuss things with. Yes, they will say things to get the US and other nations "off their backs", but to them that is not telling a lie - because We are Infidels!

People, especially in the US, would rather believe a rumor than the truth. Just like this 'global warming' thing. Might it be a way for certain companies to pocket a large amount of money and build up their portfolios? What is the motivation behind pushing everyone into being "frightened" about global warming?

That far back no one knew if something called black gold or oil would change the world in such a significant way. Who is to know what will happen in another 50 or 100 years ?

Because we as human beings have caused such a havoc in the last 150 years or so that did not even happen in a million years before us in many significant areas of the environment and ecology.

Lo. Another soothsayer predicting the doomsday. We must take these predictions with a pinch of salt. Let whatever happens happen and us accept it. No point in pressing the panic button.
