of Sam Harris. If you don't want to read his books, you ought to at least hear the man speak.

John: check your history books. Hitler was raised a Catholic and was "doing God's work" (his words)

Yeah, I have heard him before. This guy hates and at the same time condemns hate. He never understands his own hypocrisy.

Hitler and Saddam Hussein, two of the most brutal dictators of the twentieth century did not put much faith in God or use him as a reason. Hitler downright denied God, in spite of propaganda to the contrary (most atheists were raised in some form of religion), and Hussein used religion only when it was useful to him.

Of course that contradicts the hate Sam Harris spreads so we shouldn't talk about. We should all just put our faith in Sam Harris! (Sarcasm in case you didn't recognize it).

Thanks for the info, it always does me good to learn something new about ignorance and hypocrisy.

Do not respect the beliefs of those who do not believe the same way you do! Use examples of people who did not tolerate the views of others to support your own intolerance!

Does this guy realize he is a modern Inquisitor?

Unbelievable that people could believe this drivel. Same people who want to believe any kind of hate filled propaganda.

I'm not a christian, brendan, but I did spend the 23 minutes and 15 seconds watching the video.

He raises some good points, but his summary was lacking in that it failed to really gell all of them into one point other than to say that we ought to be reasonable.

My religion doesn't adhere to the bible or the koran. But, it seems to me that he would prefer I not believe in anything. I could be wrong, but that's how he came across.
Is he advocating that we all have to be atheists? I'd really like to know more.. thanks for sharing this.

There's no denying it. Religion and faith are not the problems. It's the fanatical followers who twist it to serve their own ends. Fanaticism is poison. And yet, we have those who feel that they cannot be faithful without being fanatics. It's a sign of spiritual insecurity and immaturity to me. It is something to think about

However, I find the man rather biased towards the faithful of any religion. He seems to think that in order to believe, one must have dogmatic tendancies. I disagree.

Wow, thanks for the link, this is an excellent example of an Atheist trying to "shove" his views down my throat (and yet you folks claim you don't do that.) Thanks, B!
