The Volvo T5 is the 2.3 litrs Turbo engine with about 225 hp
The Volvo 850 2.5 engine is Non-Turbo with about 140 or 170 hp

They share the same basic engine design, however your car is definiely not a T5, however the 2.5 litrs engine is qually good, as I love the sound of the Volvo 5 cylinder engines. The T5 is so special because it has won many saloon car races, Volvo brought their T5 estate (obviously with modifications) to the races and thrashed BMW and Mercedes and Audis.

the t5 has a higher output turbo than a turbo 850 as well as stiffer spring rates larger sway bars and a sport tuned exhaust [that actually sounds good, especially when compared to those god awful old Audi 5000/100 crap-boxes]

T5 is the 5 cylinder turbo model, normally found in a very colourful livery with blue lights on the roof. 155+mph is whats special about it-if thats your thing
