I've been in your situation. Best thing to do is to make yourself your own role model. What I mean is to visualize the successful and respectful business person you want to be and then strive to be that way. Doing this makes you focus on yourself more and makes you want to obtain the best you have to offer. I know it's disheartening. Good luck.

Santa Claus was my role model, and when I found out he was a fake, I figured it was okay because we should all strive to give.
In your situation I don't think it's okay.
He should be recognizing the folks that did the job, not taking credit himself. Speak in confidence/private to someone in Human Resources/Personnel.

I had a role model once, and then I found out that no one is perfect. You can copy anyone and never be you. Just be you and you will find that originallity goes a long way. Look at that Doctor........Dr Pepper

One can be a good role model of teacher but a irresponsible mother...so it depends which role s/he is taking on...as long as the person is not disrupting the whole situation...why you bother?!

It's unfortunate, but it happens. Just vow to never be that kind of person when you are in a position of power over others. And yes, there have been people in my life who have disillusioned me as well.

Hell, no! When someone else takes credit for the work you've done you should not put up with it. Find some place else to work and tell him to stick it.
