Yes. But only a special kind of DVD/LD player. I think one is still available.

Certainly not. The dimension of these two discs are completely different. The technology is different as well. DVDs are supposed to replace LDs.

not from what i remember, a laserdisc was as big as a record. it wouldn't fit.
