Native American and here's why!!!

Each morning upon rising, and each evening before sleeping, gives thanks for the life within you and for all life, for the good things the Creator has given you and for the opportunity to grow a little more each day. Consider your thoughts and actions of the past day and seek for the courage and strength to be a better person. Seek for the things that will benefit others (everyone).

2. Respect. Respect means "To feel or show honor or esteem for someone or something; to consider the well being of, or to treat someone or something with deference or courtesy". Showing respect is a basic law of life.

3. Once a council has decided something in unity, respect demands that no one speak secretly against what has been decided. If the council has made an error, that error will become apparent to everyone in its own time.

4. Be truthful at all times, and under all conditions.

5. Always treat your guests with honor and consideration. Give of your best food, your best blankets, the best part of your house, and your best service to your guests.

6. The hurt of one is the hurt of all; the honor of one is the honor of all.

7. Receive strangers and outsiders with a loving heart and as members of the human family.

8. All the races and tribes in the world are like the different colored flowers of one meadow. All are beautiful. As children of the Creator they must all be respected.

9. To serve others, to be of some use to family, community, nation, and the world is one of the main purposes for which human beings have been created. Do not fill yourself with your own affairs and forget you’re most important talks. True happiness comes only to those who dedicate their lives to the service of others.

10. Observe moderation and balance in all things.

11. Know those things that lead to your well-being and those things that lead to your destruction.

12. Listen to and follow the guidance given to your heart. Expect guidance to come in many forms; in prayer, in dreams, in times of quiet solitude, and in the words and deeds of wise Elders and friends.

I am not a real fan of organized religion in general because of the conflicts between different church bodies. However, from my perspective, any Christian community will do. Belief and faith is a very personal choice. The most important factor is your "personal relationship" with God, not what church you attend. Find one that displays Christian values. People who care for one another. People who care for others. People who focus on that personal relationship with God rather than just going through the motions. Churches should not be all about money and how much you are supposed to give.

Having that personal relationship with God is the most exciting and spectacular experience any human being can have. It changes your whole outlook on life and gives a sense of peace that goes beyond all understanding. I wish you many blessings in the future.

Yes it is great.I am ortodox Christian and I recomand you the ortodoxy. Countries like Greek, Russia are in majority , ortodox countries.
I shall tell you that ortodoxy has the smallest mistakes, because here was the greatest saints ..and martyrs , and here was the greatest emperors and kings who ruled for the name of God. One of the little kings of my european country accepted to die , him, his wife and his children maybe except one as I remember -so they accepted to die , their heads being cut by turks , rather then give up Christianity and Jesus Christ .
The God of turks is not a God is what they imagine about God, and what they imagine about God doesn'tcorespond to the reality and the true right mind of the true God.

Catholics don't admit a second holly marriage if you divorce , while in ortodox church you can marry again if you divorce.
The catholics priests don't marry and I heard a lot of promiscuous sexual affairs as taking place , because of this. They are proud and they think they are like angels ..that they could live without love and satan temptate them with forbidden sex ..between...While in ortodox church priests must marry .In Bible , it is written from God that the one who is called by God to be a priest ...should stay unmarried IF HE CAN . If he cannot he better marry, because as I told you ..satan tempted with homosexuality and pedophily...
Catholics don't give ''the body and the blood of Christ ''to children- that bread and wine -until the age of 7 or so because they cannot have a mind to confess and this is wrong because a child is a child and must have the bread of God in order to have the power to live and think..
''Jehova's witness ''have not a priest they don't confess through a priest , they say the sin comitted directely to God, and this is a pitty because God let the priests like saints among us sending them wisdome to help us ...even if they are wrong sometimes ...or coward or don't tell the complete truth or are afraid of superiors to accept your miracles and events send by God , or did by satan...
But the real dogma belongs to ortodoxy (and catholics in this point )
The dogma of The Holly Trinity , God as resulting from Bible , being Three Persons , God The Father , God - The Son Of God , and God The Holly Spirit .

In the Bible at Isaiah , Iezechia , and Daniel , God looks like having hands , feet , eyes , etc but brightfull skin etc...and some don't recognize this , I supose they are influenced by ancient gods of son and wind and think God has no hands and legs , etc, but in the Bible it is shown that He looks like us , and I think that The saints of the Bible , maybe not more then ten in the Old Testament , -and 12 and John the Baptizer and others like him ..but few..are more higher then the theologists ...They deserved to see God , and God show up looking like a man ...because He doesn't lie , I consider He has shown up , the way He is ...Our God is a right God , and very serious, He shall never appear like a man , while He is like a fine wind...

Except this little problem ..who actually belongs perhaps to all the sections, , and even if there is a sect who admits that God looks like a man , that sect doesn't admit Jesus is the Eternal son of God , son sent on The Earth , having the same condition of God , being also a God , obeyed to God the Father . And you better stay at ortodoxy , because it is a sin to think that Jesus is not a God .So you better stay at ortodoxy and believe Jesus is also a God like God The Father ,obeyed To Him, and That The Holly Spirit is also a person , and a God. This Trinity , although three Persons ..wear the name God , for the real historical original Christianity. Three Persons , divine Persons , called GOD , and having the same will.

Hope you understand what I am saying. If you don't understand
something you can e mail me:pistaemirela@yahoo.com
So find an ORTODOX CHURCH , this is my advise.Maybe looks sad , but there is the truth . It is sad that people crucified Jesus who was a God., a part of our God.
I am not a specialist in theology , I studied languages and literature , and I think I have the right to read the Bible and understand God the way I want.

No one can recommend a religion to someone else, but there is a handy tool that you can use. I was raised Catholic, but was not surprised that I actually didn't match that religion at all. What did surprise me was to find my beliefs really linked me closer to a reformed Judiasm.

I would suggest that you write down all of the things that you believe to be true about life and how it came to be. Write down what you understand about human relationships and how we should treat each other. Write down exactly how you feel in relation to the environment and other species and then search for a religion that matches that. Don't just look into Christianity but look into Eastern religions and philosophies as well.

Try to visit with a pastor, priest, or other leader of various churches. Ask them to tell you about the doctrine. Listen well and try to understand what directed them to believe what they do. It is a matter of your own philosophies, you review a lot of input and at some point you realize what for you is truth and comfort.

May God help you in your search.

Sorry, if you want a religion, at least give the consideration you would for any major purchase, and look for it.. would you buy a car, sight unseen, from a door to door salesman? Do some research, pick what suits you best, and avoid the hustlers...

Good luck

don't just join a church just for the fun of it. look at what they teach and see if believe the same thing as they do, or you should see what is more reasonable to believe in. i recommend evangelical Methodist. they are new age and they go around the community helping a lot of people. they go on a lot of trips also.
