I'm a teenager.. 16. I'm only a little bit active, and I'm 5'6. What is the average daily caloric intake for a teenager?

If you are going to be exercising you'll need more calories. I'd stay with 1500-2000 calories. But I'm talking fruits, veggies, WHEAT everything, less red meat, less alcohol, and sugars. :-D ya gotta go all the way if you want to loose the weight properly. The recommended amount of weight lost a week should be 1-2 pounds a week. So don't expect results in 2 weeks! :D have fun

I believe that it is around 2000 for a female and around 2-3000 for a male.

google BMR (basal metabolic rate)..it should give u a rough idea on ur ideal daily caloric intake

for ur height and activity probably about 2000 calories
