Just politely say that you are having difficulty and ask if there is someone else you can speak with. I am English and sometimes have had trouble understanding some English dialects - it's not always because people are foreigners!

I had one of themIndian call centre guys calling me up asking mein thier funny accent
"Helo mam! My nem is Raj wud you bee in-terestid in up greding yourrr conteract?"

No offence to anyone but Im asian and I CANNOT UNDERTAND THESE GUYS ENGLISH AND I CANT HEAR YOU PROPERLY! either GET YOUR OWN CONTRACT SORTED!

Why dont they take no for an answer? i hete it sooooo moch!!!

ask them a really hard question that will make them lost for words. also most of the time I put the phone down on them
