yeah, change human nature.

remove ego, hate, bias, greed, power, lust, desire, ideology, money, anger, vengeance, religion, faith, hope, love, apathy, race, color, sex, identity, height, weight, hair color, eye color, sexual preference and breathing from the equation and peace will exist.

you want to prevent a war you have to remove the human element... you have to eliminate life...

Man by nature is violent no matter what some people say.

the only way to prevent a war against Iran (and personally I don't think one is coming), you have to make Iran back down from its desires to have nukes and you have to have the world actually co-operate in creating a fair plan for Iran.

other wise if Iran wishes to maintain this stand against the world then it deserves what it gets.

But I respect your desire for peace, I just know it is not possible.

Yes, all you have to do is to convince the iranians to stop supporting terrorist and quit trying to produce nuclear weapons. Then I am 100% sure they won't be attacked. Otherwise I would like to see a massive nuclear strike against Iran. We need to quit playing around and start using our nukes. Maybe at that point other supporters of terrorist will decide its an ill bargin.

I guess the other option would be to convince the rest of the world or at least the U.S. to surrender to the Iranians and to adopt Islamic law and put themselves under the control of the Iraninan mulahs.

Some people still believe in the old idea that war is bad but that some things are worse. One of those being the loss of freedom. You know that old live free or die non-sense.

It seems unlikely. The biggest protests the world has ever seen were held against the war in Iraq when it first started, and they were ignored. There were more protests when the G8 came to Gleneagles - these were also ignored. Politicians once they are in their last term of office no longer have to listen to the people they 'represent', they only have to listen to money and power. War is necesary that these new jingoistic reigmes may make their easy money, because the politicians don't have to pay for the cost - none of them have children in the armed forces.

I think the problem here is the governments. Nether the US or Iranian public seems too happy with their leaders right now.
I think each of us reaching out to each others communities is the best way to bridge the gap. Can't have a war if the people refuse to fight.
But tha'ts an ideal. Practice and human ignorance have to be figured in too.

Well that is why we have the U.N. however they (over the years) have become impotent.
Some of these Machismo Regimes see a "time out" as a sign of weakness.
It goes to the very basic idea of a bully in the school yard, the Liberals think if they ignore him the problem "poof" is gone.
The rest of us know that you need to take 3 guys and go and slap him around to get him to stop.Or call the principal and have him arrested.
Hey Liberals, time outs didn't work very well on your kids, what makes you think they will work on maniacs.

Sure - Iran could stop advocating the annihilation of Isreal, death to all Americans, stop killing US and British soldiers in Iraq, stop funding Hezzbollah, stop enriching uranium in their quest to destroy the western world, and stop attempting - with Syria - to control Iraq.
Oh yeah, they might also get their president (the Haolocost denier) to shave off that Maynard G Crebbs beard...it's creepy.

Yes, Iran can stop enriching uranium and let the inspectors in to ensure it is complying with the Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaty.

Pretty simple....but too simple for Iran to understand, or if they do understand, they do not care.

all of them. while the spineless president is one in each and every of those weakling that he won't call it an act of conflict while North Korea torpedoes a South Korean deliver, he's frightening attack via all enemies. He seems desperate to convey the USA back to the melancholy and WW2.
