I go to church... but only because I love to worship God... it isnt a requirement that I attend ... i don't 'belong' to a church... the only one I belong to is Jesus

Most people who go to church on a weekly basis are those that want to serve their community. They volunteer a lot and help others as much as they can. I find that one of the most satisfying things about attending church regularly is ALWAYS finding a chance to help others. It seems that there is hardly another place that devotes so much time to the em-betterment of others. If you like to help others and want to know more about the people who believe in the same God as you, it is easiest to do that in church. The church is set up in such a way that it actually helps you to do the work that Christ began! And there is no greater feeling than helping someone and having them appreciate it even more than you ever would have. Some of them are so incredibly humble. Being part of a church is a great experience...but it does take a while to get used to and you have to the church that is best for you!

True Christians go sometimes.
Religious people go all the time.
People who was a social event most of the time.
A true Christian will attend a certain church until he hears too many deviations from the Bible.
Then he will leave.
He will try another church until he hears the same thing. After a few times he will not go anymore. He has discovered that the pastors were hypocrites.

I used to go with my parents twice on Sunday, every Wednesday night, and to any extra functions they had. Now, my husband and I only average going about once every two weeks. We keep talking that we need to start attending more regularly, and we always are blessed and enjoy the service when we go. It's just a matter of getting back in the habit of going regularly.

It would be interesting to know what kind of church you go to. A pastor who understands the intended meaning of the Bible and makes it relevant to today makes all the difference in maintaining the interest level

Hebrews 10:24-25 (NIV)
24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.
25 Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another–and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

i was like you, i never really went to church until about 7 years ago. i began to look for God through reading the bible. He found me!!!!! and the more i got to know him the more i wanted to share what he is doing in my life. i don`t go to church just to get something, i go to give something--God glory!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And encouragement to others.
