Well, I am not 100% sure, but you should go to the website of the foreign state dept. of your country and check it if Venezuela is safe or not...I only know that Colombia might be dangerous for foreign visitors.

yup. usual travel safety issues - but you have those within yuor own country anyway.
i was in venezuela in december and had no problems whatsoever!!! felt safe, secure, totally unthreatened
