Is it possible? yes.
Probable? not usually.
No one takes the kind of time it takes to find the soul mate.
They may find him / her but in an age of disposable marriages and relationships, they bail out when the going gets rough.
Makes for great chic flix at the box office, but movies aren't reality are they.
I'm not saying it never happens, some people do find their soul mates, but not near as many that did 50 years ago.

It is possible to find someone you are completely compatible with on every level. Someone you just click with immediately. Somone who can read your emotions better that you can!
I am not so sure about soul mates though. I think that is more an idea brought about by wives tales and the movies. Think about it. Finding a soul mate is like finding a needle in a haystack. What if your soul mate does not live in the same country or continent as you?! Does fate and synchronicity intervene to conspire a meeting?.. Nah.. it's for the movies.

I think we find all kinds of soul mates , not just one or "the one" as we navigate through life. It's the people we have an instant rapport with, both male and female.
I think Hollywood has romanticized finding that special ' one' so much that our expectations are so high we dismiss some really lovely people because they don't measure up to what 'we' think is ' the one'.

I personally do not believe in a soul mate, per se, rather there are different "kindred souls" we find in our lifetime, some have one, but a majority have several. I do not believe there is only one person meant to be with you forever... note all the divorces! I think it's romantized on movies.

Yes you can find a soul mate and yes it is romaticiesed in movies.
The fact is at different times in your lifetime, different people will make ideal soulmates. For example at school its your best friend/s and later its your workmate, girlfriend, wife or whatever.
Also, you can make just about anyone into your soulmate if you try hard enough. This nonsense about trying to find the 'one' is what causes all the heartaches in this world.

Personally, I think everyone has a soulmate. but they may not find them in their lifetime. For example, someone could live in the UK and the right guy or girl is in Japan and they never meet. THerefore, they marry someone else and since they are not soulemates, divorce. That is my theroy on why majority of families are divorced.

I have wondered this as well. I think there is someone for everyone and you just have to keep looking until you find the right one. Maybe it is only in the movies, because I haven't found mine yet. lol

I think there are peole out there that are best suited to us each. But what makes a marriage work is committment and selflessness to eachother.
