We just got Windows Vista but it seems nothing is configured to it, it wouldnt recognise my usb key and I put it in an xp computer and it worked fine, and somebody told me that its probably becuase it isnt configured to windows vista, so do I but a usb key set for vista nd on another conmputer tranfer files from my old one onto my new one to use on my vista computer or do I do something else?
even worse is that the printer we just got's software isnt supported by vista, it says its only for xp. 200. 98 and the such so we need to get help for that or try downloading some drives for it to suport hp or something.
The extreme one is that it doesnt recognise our Wireless router, we just switched to sky broadband and got a wireless router but its not working and just stops halfway through the set up, the cd doescnt sya that it is compatible with vista, it just says for xp, 2000 etc, what do I do as I need to connect to the net to download anything for vista to recognise any lower form hard

nothing works with vista because they do no have appriote drivers and you need to search all over the internet for drivers basically microsoft has brought vista ot far too early and my personal opion is to wait until about november this year.

I don't know if u can run it from a Stick drive but to boot it u would need to go into your BIOS and change the boot order so USB boots up first. If that doesn't work and u can't get vista anywhere, 99% of the time there is a Factory image installed on the PC that will restore the computer to factory settings. But that should be last resort since it deletes everything.

Oh where do I start,my pc was in the menders for 2 weeks and while it was there we decided to upgrade to Vista at the same time. When we got it back we couldnt get anything to work and eventually the guy from the computer shop came out and put a router on and a few other bits and got it working.
I was really annoyed as Virgin(my isp) and most others dont support it yet and can't help at all.
Basically at the time I wished we hadnt bothered but once its all sorted it is worth it as it is much better than xp.

The problem is that most of the compatibility is for win xp
and not for vista.
You have to buy a usb port with win vista compatibility
that should work properly.

the problem is that since vista is using newer technology and coding within it programming all the orginal software like window live messenger havent adapted their programming into the system. there many hard and software r currently not workin on vista. give it time sooner or later the companies will introduct update to softwares or hardwares to allow them to be compaterable with windows vista

The OS is too new and will contain many bugs that are yet to be ironed out. You should wait at least a year after the release date before thinking about upgrading, especially with anything made by Microsucks.
