Any pointers you American girls that I should know about American men. We have already come up with a few "interesting moments" Are there any culture differences I should know? Differences between Aussie and American men?
Please help. I welcome any suggestions or feedback.

I am from Canada and was dating an Aussie man for a very long time......he has a child and so do I, and we found that because we both have children we could not decide where to live because of issues with each other past partners. We finally had to make the painful decision to not pursure the relationship because of distance and our children. That being said I think that if we had not had the issues we did it would have worked out fine (hopefully). There are several things you should carefully consider before making any drastic moves like...have you met him, where would you live, do you have children or does he, do you have enough savings that if it did not work out you could get back home, would you keep your aussie citizenship....I am not saying that it is all negative because I know it is very exciting and euphoric and different but you also want to keep your head about you. This is a big committment and you need to make sure that you have prepared for it. As for differences between men here and there...well I think they are all pretty much the same no matter where you go...you have the good ones and the bad ones everywhere (same with women lol...before I get lashback:-))
Anyway I wish you the best of luck, just take it slow.....meet while on vacation first....stay with him during the vacation...find out the real person before jumping in the deep end.....but remember to have fun too, thats what life is for. All the best.

We American men are not so hard to please, but we are somewhat defensive - especially regarding patriotic issues, religion and our moms... also, my wife said we are also needy, but I dont see that... now she is saying we are blind as well....anyway, we are (at least the majority) also good fathers, lovers and providers. Have fun , mate!!! (by the way we love accents, especially Aussie)
