My natural hair after I leave it to dry naturally or after I blow dry it is realy strange, it's quite 'fluffy' and quite straight but with little 'kinks' in it, and because of them it looks uneven and really messy. I could never wear my hair as it is natrurally.
I know I shouldn't but every day (When im going out and to school) I straighten my hair, and some days I curl it with spiral curlers.
I want some other styles, some different waves that I can get without having to use heat every morning.
I always wash my hair the night before and style it in the morning. Could anyone suggest any styles I could do easily, i'd especially love some lose waves.
Thanks

Thanks everyone, your ideas are all good and worth trying. I will definately be trying scrunching mousse with plaits, but I find mousse makes it look less soft. I'd like some lose, soft and 'beach look' toussled ones, sorta...like Joss Stone? I will be trying several of your ideas :)

There are a few things that you could try to get some waves, if your hair is long enough you could do a few french plaits whilst it is damp, & have waves in the morning or if you have shorter hair why not try twisting your hair into a few small buns while it is damp. In the morning when undoing hair gently scrunch into style & add some mousse or leave in continioner to syle.

wash your hair at night
then before you go to sleep but some rollers in it, then some liquid gel or mouse and some holdilg spray like spritz, try and sleep in the rollers, the in the morning after your shower take them out. then tease the curls out with you fingers to make them seperate a little.
then you will have a nice hair style without the use of heat. and you will have more time in the morning to do something else cos you wont be there tryna straighten or curl your hair

My hair is exactly the same, and I just tied my hair back for years. When I don't want to straighten or curl it, I wash it at night and then put it in french plaits. Take them out in the morning and put some hairspray on. It's a change from frazzling your hair with straighteners.

scrunching- take a shower the night before, but dont condition your hair [dont use conditioner]. use gel and style your hair to look like messy curls. its so cute, and doesnt require heat!

soft waves- take a shower, and put your hair into two braids the night before. the next morning, take them out and you will have soft waves. use hair spray so they'll stay in, and the look is really cute!

Get your hair wet in the morning. Put in some curling mousse or spray gel. Scrunch, and then DON'T TOUCH until dry ...and then don't touch too often. It will change your life...don't fight the curl, just learn to make it not frizz...

Only wash your hair ONCE a week and straighten it then. It will stay straight the rest of the week if you use heat protecting spray, BORED STRAIGHT by Beyond the Zone, and pressing oil. Good luck!

I would suggest you go to a salon with pictures of what you like, and let the stylist see if your hair texture would be good for that style,if it would suit your face shape ect.And you could get some good advice on products ect.Best wishes

I've heard that you can get your hair permantly straightned. It would be perfect for you!!
My moms' friend did it and it looks totally natural.
Then, you would go without suffering every morning to do your hair. YOu could just wash it, dry it, and tie it up! It would look cute any way!

Good luck!

Try plaiting it when its wet before you go to bed, then when you wake in the morning undo plaits don't brush, scrunch with your fingers and make loose waves.
