I worked good for me when I used it. I say put it on a comb then streak it through your hair. It makes it go on evenly.

Well I think so, we have it at our house. My dad uses when he mows the lawn. It's gentler than a dye because it is gradual. You can can put it through as highlights or all over. It's suggested to have moisturized hair while you use it, or at least that's what I do whn I am using an at-home dye kit.
here's a later question I saw relating:

Everyone in my family who has used it already has blonde hair.. but wants to lighten it up.. so I don't know how it will affect brunettes. I used to use it but then I dyed my hair brown.

The natural alternative to that is lemon juice. I've heardit works really well. So soak your hair in lemon juice then go out side in the sun but it works really fast so you have to make sure you dont stay outside too long. Happy hairlighting!!

Unless you are already a blond I wouldn't use it. I would go ahead and use a good products like born blond. Sun in could turn brown hair orange.Even light brown hair.

you need to use a blow dryer, yet sunlight in is undesirable information on your hair, it has a tendency to make your hair no longer waiting to be chemically processed, with a perm or different hair treatment as quickly as you utilize it, it coats the hair making it hard for something to penetrate the shaft, in case you could merely %. up a container of lightener and use that as a substitute, the fee would be merely some money extra and its no longer hard to do the highlights on your hair at domicile

It's very harsh and anyone I know who's used it ends up with hair like straw.
Try some highlights. You can do that at home easily yourself or get a friend to help you.
