I overheard people talking at WalMart.
The lady was teling the man that babies were initially angels in Heaven. Then God says, hey, there is a groovy couple trying to have a baby and He sends the angel to the couple in the form of a baby. (This is exactly how I heard it!)
How many believe this???

no humans were not angels before birth. angels are separate beings made before man. the angels are much more powerful then humans. angels for a time did marry humans and this caused giants. no more giants remain and the practice of angels wedding humans has stopped.
at the time of death and beyond people all of us and none of us ever become angels.
angels are not below us. they are different from us but the same as us as we are all the creation of God.
i have seen an angel and yes this angel had wings was very large and i can tell you that nothing on earth was or is more real then what i and my mother saw.

Noooooo, babies are not angels. Angels are a different creature than a human.
It's a sweet thought though and brings comfort to some, so I never try to make people who say things like that to see the truth.
I've always said (and yeah I know it's not really true) that when my kids were babies and would make those cute little faces and their little arms would twitch while dreaming .... I'd say they were dancing and singing with the angels. The only place the angels can be with her again is in her dreams :)

The word 'angel' means messenger.That is the role of angels.They are God's messengers and servants.They are also spirit beings who reside in the heavens.
Humans on the other hand are flesh and blood and reside on the earth.A human is born of a human.Jehovah God told Adam and Eve to 'multiply and fill the earth'.He didnt tell them that he was going to send angels from heaven to become their children.
From Bible teachings I would firmly say no to that idea.

I can't say I believe it. The lady might of been talking metaphorically. If a God were to do so there would be more to it then that. I would also hope God would not use the word 'groovy.' o.0

if babies were angels and happens the kid grows up and ends up a recalcitrant in society,does it make him a fallen angel?
in theological terms angels are either able not to sin which was their initial state but lucifer and his angels were not able not to sin which makes 1/3 and the remaining angels were not able to sin.
no doubt babies are innocent at the moment of birth yet within them dwells the sinful nature and we know we need not learn how to lie, we just do it.

Babies are NOT angels because angels are immortal, babies aren't. And humans don't become angels when they die either.
