No good God would, it's an example of how the myth was not well constructed. It's primary purpose is to control simple minds into obedience, and not make a great deal of sense. It takes a sense of faith to believe, even when the consequences don't add up.

God does not "send" people anywhere. People send people wherever they end up. If a person believes in God and makes an attempt to live the Godly required kind of life and that person dies, they will end up spending eternity with God/Jesus. On the other hand, if a person does not believe in God/Jesus and has not repented of their wrong doing and has not made the attempt to live the life God requires, then that person will not spend eternity with God. Whether it is in a place we call heaven, or whether it is here on earth after the tribulation, or whether it is some paradise that we don't understand I will not attempt to say. Many question whether or not heaven and hell are actual places. I believe that they are real just as I believe God and Satan are real. God does not just "send" people because he feels like it. Where you will end up is totally up to you and the choices you make.
I know we have many people on this site that do not believe in God and that is their "God given right" but do keep in mind that if we Christians are wrong, we will just die and nothing more. But if we Christians are right, then that becomes a whole different story for those that do not believe. No, God/Jesus does not make sense and it can not be proven (or disproven) by science. Consider your options.

God does not send good people to heaven and bad people to hell. Where you will spend eternity has absolutly nothing to do with how good or bad you are. It all depends on you accepting Jesus as your personal savior. Read John 3:16.

It's true that does happen.
There are people who have done evil all of their life that have confessed and asked forgiveness and go to heaven.
There are people who were basically good (to our standards) that reject the teachings of Christ and they go to hell.
Understand this, there are laws that are set up in the spiritual realm that both God and Satan follow.
It's no different than when you get stopped for a speeding ticket. No matter how good of a person you are you have still broken the law and must pay the fine. If you don't eventually there will be a warrant out for your arrest and you will go to jail.
The way to pay the fine is through Christ. The bad person who does this is no longer in danger of going to jail, while the good person who refuses this will, only in this instance it is for eternity.

It is not God who sends us to hell, it is us by our actions.
And hell is not a physical place as many believe. It is a state of consciousness. We don't have to die to experience this hell. Many do today. Who hasn't been in a situation that it was like hell to us. All we wanted to do is get out of that hell.
In any case we have the possibility to get out of hell if we follow God's Will. We believe God's Will is the Eternal Divine Path. If you're interested check out our link.

Because you deem someone good God is suppose to dole Heaven out to that person? God's standards are not ours and we can't pretend to know or understand them. Just know that His way is Holy and Perfect and you will understand someday.

And who is good, You? I think your standards are way too low. I don't know a single person who has never lied. I don't know anyone who hasn't let their temper go wild at times. I don't know anyone who has never seen a member of the opposite sex without having an impure thought.. In short there are NO "good" people. Only people who are self righteous or deluded... Jim

We are assured that in the end everyone (even the lost) will acknowledge the rightness of YHVH, that He did the most generous thing that He could.

People keep thinking that what happens to them is important.
It isn't.
Egotistical spoiled brats think what happens to them is important.
The choices you make define your life, not what happens to you.
