is there any spesific name for it?
is it really dangerous as it sounds?
he's going to have a surgery in June. the doctor said the percentage for the sugery to be a success is 30%. is 30% enough? what if the surgery fails? instant death? what are the possiblities?

suggestions of what i should do? pretend the blood clot is nothing or treat him like a king? make him happy or just act like he's going to survive the operation? he has gone through a lot of things in his life and i want him to feel happiness he never felt before for once in his lifetime. what should i do? (this news really upsets me, so serious answers only, please. oh, and some comforting words would be nice)

Thanks so much.

Phew..that's at least 50 points worth of questions!
Specific name, none, just blood clot. Yes it can be dangerous but as the op is not planned until June it obviously isn't life threatening to your friend. 30% success isn't great! If the surgery fails (not knowing the cause or the exact spot of the clot makes this difficult!) then your friend could die or be brain damaged to some degree, the doctor will be able to tell him exactly what the risks and consequences are.
What to do...talk to your friend. he may want to talk about it, he may not. Don't over protect him, he may well get annoyed about that. Just be kind and try not to change too much about the friendship. Be a good friend, be there, listen, be a shoulder to cry on if he needs it, and let him know that you care.
Its hard to take news of this kind about someone special. My thoughts are with you

(Your question is worth 10 points...you didn't ask too much! You're just scared!)

Hey,

I'm sorry to hear that your friend is suffering so much. It must be really hard.

A blood clot in the brain is usually called a stroke.

Unfortunately, clots are very dangerous. I suffered a massive clot in my lungs at the age of 22, and I nearly died. But I and so many others are living proof that miracles do happen.

Be honest with him, and tell him your feelings. Tell him that you feel totally helpless, and you don't know what to say or do. Ask him what he needs from you at this very frightening time in his life.

Do your best to be a good listener, and know that he will be going through a whirlwind of emotions. Also try to have a lighter side with him. He will need someone to help pick him up.

No, unfortunately, a 30% chance is not very promising, but remember that miracles DO happen. If you believe in God, go to church and pray for him, and ask the church to pray for him too. Go to www.ewtn.com and roll over the FAITH tab. Roll over BULLETIN BOARD, and click on post a prayer request. The nuns and all others who read it will be praying for him. You can also post prayer reqests at www.klove.com

That is so sad that he has never felt true happiness. He must have suffered so much. Happiness comes from inner peace, and perhaps you could get him to talk to a professional or a pastor to help in the healing process.

Be honest with him about his condition. For his own peace, he should make amends (if possible) with family and friends before his surgery.

Tell him how proud you are of him, and how brave he is, and please know that you and he will most definately be kept in my prayers. Please keep me posted on how he is doing.

May God Bless you both,
Christina

blood clot may give u severe pain that u w'd feel very ill like something migraine n it w'd lead to parkinson(brain cancer) later if not in cure in time.it's very difficult to say how high is the chance as brain is a very delicate organ any mistake w'd lead to many problems like eye-blindness,walking unbalance, coma etc.u can't say much except consoling him.take care n good luck.
