BOXING

2007-02-24 00:56:58 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 0 0

It depends on what you want to do. Boxing is probably better if you want to train to fight somebody since you spar and "go live" all of the time. Karate, depending on what gym you go to, might be good or might not be good for fighting other people. If you have a full contact karate gym, that would be good; but many karate places only do point sparing where the focus is not on "real" fighting.

If you are not interested in fighting other people, karate is more spiritual, at least in traditional Japanese dojos, and can be done your whole life. I think karate also focuses more on self control and discipline.

I think boxing is harder physically as a workout. Holding your gloves up after a couple rounds is a *****.

depends on what your looking for

boxing helps to tone upper body were as karate is more about the whole body

ive done karate and kickboxing for years i love it, its great for your body as well as self defence

boxing is good too, but personally i would want to lift my leg and kick, you can train at a local gym with both and even enter competitions and go pro

they are both very good sports to go for, but i don't fancy a broken nose every fight from boxing, even though it can happen form karate too, but karate tends not to be full contact

boxing, karate is ****, im a third form in wing chun which is like chinese boxing, and every karate man i have sparred with has lost or given up. (wing chun is too fast for them)
but i do love boxing as well, karate is just a money making self defense scheme.

If it's kick boxing then I should say it is better, if not, then karate.

I always loved karate, but both involve hand and footwork, even though it seems like karate has more versatility.

I do boxing twice a week and find it really good cardio workout, it also builds coordination and strengthens your abs and arms. Definitely do boxing.
