I've had a lot of cats and found that un-neutered males are lovely and very affectionate up to the point where they suddenly discover sex - that is when they get the personality change and don't want to know you. All at once they are only interested in fighting ****ing and spraying.
If you get him neutered you will avoid that and keep your cuddly cat.

Of course there are always exceptions but bear in mind that the main method of cats catching/contracting FELV or AIDS is through fight related injuries and that most road kill cats turn out to be un-neutered toms.

No, it doesn't but it will make him stay closer to home and not wander. He will also do less or no more fighting. And if you get him fixed before 4 months that will keep him from spraying.
But one of the best reasons is that getting this done will help prevent him from getting cancer later in life. So you will have a healthier and happier cat.
Kudos for doing the right thing for your cat by being a responsible pet owner.

I found that it made my cat much more affectionate toward me. I guess he no longer was thinking about hot girlie kitties so he was more mellow. He also stopped trying to get out of the house. That scared me because he could have gotten lost or run over. Not to mention you will not have to deal with him spraying or him contributing to the cat over population.

If you want him to keep a cats personality sweet, then please neuter them. If you don't, the cat will be marking his/her territory, out fighting; and very likely to get a fatal disease, even with all their vaccinations current. People kidnap animals for their own pet or sell them for animal experiments including dissection. Older male cats defending their territory frequently kill younger cats. If you love your cat, keep them protected.

In my experience yes. It makes for a better pet. He'll be less aggressive and won't be spraying.
