I'm not sure how or exactly when it started but nowadays I get panicky when travelling in a bus. The first time it happened I felt nauseated and dizzy on the bus. But when I got off I felt fine within seconds.

Now whenever I get on a bus, I get a panicky and anxious feeling. I usually close my eyes for half a minute til the sensation goes away and I'll be okay after that.

Is this strange? I dun remeber anything being a trigger. Does is reflect an inner problem or something?

There is always a reason for a phobia. I had one when shopping alone. Standing in line, I felt like just leaving the store before I passed out. A few monthe after I left my wife, it went away.

Tracking down the source is very difficult, so you have to be on the defensive and find out what best distracts you. My solution was not to go shopping alone. I always took along a friend to talk to distract my inner fear. Of course, they did not know why I invited them to come with me, that was my inner most secret.

I know you cannot take someone with you on the bus, but try sitting behind the driver and talk to him, or, start a conversation with the person next to you.

If you cannot change your everyday routine, try to at least modify it. That way, you may eliminate the phobia.

I knew someone else who was absolutely terrified about getting on a bus, so you are not alone. Perhaps there is a Internet site regarding phobias that may help. Could u perhaps buy a car or catch a train to avoid buses

Do you ride the bus on a regular basis? If so find another regular and make friends. This will distract you. If it isn't a regular thing then maybe you should take some work with you or bring a music player with you or something to distract yourself with. After a while this will go away

Istill have that same problem. I can't travle any other way than my own car now. The fear for me, is not knowing who was sitting in that spot, before me. The thought of someone sitting there before me,[ was in my mind] catching their cold or jerms off the seat .You are not alone. I've been there. That's why I don't go on the bus anymore.
