All right, I've tried washing apples with detergent and it works! The only thing is: does anyone know if there'll some form of chemical reaction with the wax and is it harmful?

I might want to get rid of the wax but I don't really want to suffer any health issues.

Thank you! :)

The washing process you are using is definitely not a good practice, as dishwashing detergent has chemicals such as formaldehyde etc. When washing vegetables and fruits use Vinegar, it is much healthier and will remove the waxes put on by the growers and pesticides, don't ever use dishwashing detergent to wash any type of food, bad practice and very unhealthy. Vinegar will also be less expensive and will kill any bacteria that is on your vegetables or fruit. Best of Health to You !

In the process of removing wax, you are adding detergent which may not get washed off totally. So either peel or buy organic as suggested.

i does no longer try this. Laundry cleansing soap has aspects in it that are way too harsh on your skin. you're able to be able to finally end up with an alergic reaction. merely flow to the save (WalMart has a tremendous decision) and sniff all of the physique washes till you hit upon one which makes you as happy by means of fact the ease does. BTW , i admire the scent of that benefit Apple Mango Tango too~~yet I merely use it in my washer. reliable good fortune!

the wax is unharmful n is soluble in water,u just wash it thoroughly n eat it straight or peel off the skin w'd do,no need cleaning with detergent.
