Im 16 to and belive me its hard. Your best bet is to get an old small engined car. Like a ford fiesta or purgeot 106. Dont modify it either or this will raise costs. Both these cars will last you ages if you get a good one. there not expencive to run either.

To insure that the car will last for awhile and be taken care of, it is best to make the teenager pay for the car themselves !!!

Toyota Camry Or Corolla will be your best buy, if you can find one. They have a great low cost repair record and seem to run nice forever. Good luck.

teens don't make much, gas stations do, so get a car thats good on gas, any 4cylinder, like a corolla, focus, echo, neon, cavalier, civic, or a mazda3(like mine).
