Contrary to what some people will tell you, it is not ok to view pornography either while in a relationship or not. Yes, it is your own personal choice, but you have to take other things in to consideration. First, what about the other person's feelings...if you care for this person, you will find out how they feel about you viewing pornography. Second, pornography is VERY addictive...many men (and some women) have gone to rehab for years in order to battle the addiction. It tears their lives apart.
There are several reasons why...you know that there are various levels of pornography. It starts off rather simple, but before you know it...the images that you are seeing have escalated to destructive forms of brutality towards women and sometimes even children. It changes your perspective of women as a whole...some of you may have noticed that you begin to expect more from your partner....things that they are not comfortable doing. It is not right to expect these things from someone who is not comfortable with them and watching porn desensitizes you to your partners emotions because with porn you get instant gratification. You can have what you want, when you want.
If you ever want to have a relationship with a woman, I suggest that you turn away from porn immediately. One of the main reasons that it causes so many problems in relationships is because it leads the person who watches it to have unrealist expectations of his/her mate and promotes the abuse and subjugation of women.
If any of you know about the history of slaves in this country (USA), you will understand me when I say that in pornography is a perfect portrayal of a slave girl that does as her master (the viewer) orders her to do. It is the ultimate disrespect of women and no self-respecting woman would ever allow herself to be treated that way! It is a modern day slavery for both men and women. Men, don't get trapped in a cycle that will lead you to disrespect the woman you love....women, don't let your man disrespect you...he will only regret it later!

amazing, some of these women believe porn will be the fall of civilization and we will all burn in eternal hell fire for looking at it.
There is no harm in looking at porn every once in a while.
As to the degredation of women, I believe those are real women that are participating in the porn, are they not?
They don't seem to feel degraded, they are rather enjoying it from what I have seen.
Why must everything bring such drama?

Porn is probably a healthy thing for him to be looking at, would you prefer he was out checking out women somewhere???? chances are if the guy is looking at porn he may be looking for new ideas on what to do, maybe you can give him some advise.

All normal guys look at porn in a relationship or not. If a guy doesn't he won't be very interested in sex with you either.

No one should. It seems that some of your responses are from people that don't care if you are doing wrong, by encouraging you to do it! The best way to have that excitement, and not be engaged in sin, is to wait for marriage and share with a real live person. God is unpopular these days, for those that want to do as they wish without consequence. However, if you pray about it, God will reveal the RIGHT answer. id say the man looking at porn may be just part of an issue....for a relationship to work there needs to be open communication....not all guys look at porn...some are happy with their mate

Boy, you are naive. All guys like porn. Has nothing to do with a relationship. It's an everlasting novelty. A man's sex drive is one of the biggest reasons we are all here.

Obviously, for girls and guys the opinions differ. It should depend on the girlfriend he's with. I totally understand why guys look at it and I know it's not because they are cheating but some women are more sensitive about it than others and the guy should probably respect whatever his girlfriend thinks..Yes, ask her. Don't go around trying to hide it. Whether she cares or not that you look at it, it will tick her off.
