This question is not weird at all. Many women have this concern. I had it myself as my nipples are highly sensitive when it comes to triggering arousal.

From experience, I have three children and all have been breastfed, I can assure that the sensation of breast feeding is entirely different from one of arousal.

With my first child, getting the nack of latching on was a bit painful and with the cramping I couldn't even think about feeling anything but pain, but by the time we left the hospital things were better, only I was so tired with all the feeding that I barely woke up to feed her most of the time. By the time she was sleeping for more than two hours at a stretch, I was so accustomed to the fellings of feeding her that it was the natural thing for me to do and there was no way my mind could try and associate it with anything different. It has been the same with my other two as well.

The truth is that the sensation is very different. It feels less like stimulation and more like a deep pulling. In fact that's how you know your baby is latched on correctly. You can feel them drawing out the milk.

If you want more assurance it would be a good idea for you to call your local hospital and get the name and number of a lactation consultant. Believe me whoever you speak to will not think any of your questions or concerns are stupid. It is never too early to begin preparing yourself to breastfeed since many women have difficulty getting started and it can be a bit painful when you start, but it is worth it if you can work through it and being prepared will help you.

Also most hospitals have a lactation consultant come speak to you while you are in the hopital as well.

Good luck!

No it wont affect your breastfeeding ..

I didnt breastfeed my first two but with my third i tried and its a different feeling. I thought the same as you to start with and thats one of the main reasons i didnt b/feed my first 2. But im glad i tried with my last, i cant have any more and b/feeding is a great experience i regret i didnt do it with my older 2. It gives you a real extra closeness with your baby and its only something you and your baby experience which to me made it so more special then feeding with a bottle and gives u more one on one time.

You'll know it's different when your baby is sucking on you. First of all, you're currently pregnant right now. After you have your baby, your hormones will be different and the milk will be there, also. I doubt you'll have problems with this after he/she is born.

that is the main reason I wont breastfeed I had heard of women having orgasm's while breastfeeding and I was like no way that is too strange for me so I don't know how it'll make you feel but I didn't want to find out.

well maybe you should stop letting whoever it is suck your boobs when you are pregnant! He will probablly drink all of the milk! You need to just stop making love til a while after the baby is born and dont let him suck your nipples cuz you might get pregnant again and the same thing might happen!
