I have 2 cats - the a momma kitty and one of her babies who we had to keep. The baby is 5 months old, both are fixed (recently) and he's almost as big as she is now. He is still trying to nurse!!!!!! Any suggestions?

It's up to the momma kitty to stop it from nursng. Just like any other mother child relationship. Let nature take it's course. Momma will soon kick the younger off of her

That is not a problem, the momma will stop him when she is ready. In the meantime it does not hurt for him to do it and you should just let nature take its course.

Eventually she will make him stop. I had huge kittens who were nursing off of the mother and eventually she made them stop. If he is that old there is probably no more milk for him to drink anyway. Don't worry about it he will stop eventually or she will make him stop. I would suggest having mama spayed and baby neutered if you haven't already.

She will eventually make him stop but in the meantime, offer him some yummy kitten chow so he gets enough calories with out his mothers milk

Mama cat will take care of that on her own. Just leave them alone.

well the same thing happened to my kittens and their mother. you just have to try to feed him cat food until he looses interest in his mothers milk.
