I want to make homemade burritos tomorrow night but i want to see if anyone makes them alittle different then i do. I want to try something new. What i do is get 1 lb of ground beef and cook it. I will add alittle salt, pepper and garlic powder. After it is done cooking. I will throw in a pack of enchilada sauce with the ground beef. I will heat up some refried beans. I will put them on the tortias with some sour cream and fried rice. Thats it. Anyone else have some ideas? Me and my girlfriend dont like spice foods to much cause we pay to much for it if you know what i mean. Garlic powder is ok but she wont get garlic if she can taste it. Any ideas? Thank you

Your recipe sounds good and easy. Try this sometime...instead of the enchilada sauce add a small can of diced green chili while cooking the hamb meat. You can buy hot or mild and it really flavors the meat. If you like onion, chop some up and add that too.

Try adobo seasoning- many different brands ,very mild.
Chop some fresh cilantro and add after cooking is done.
add some fresh jalapeno, be sure to seed(hot) and most are very mild but very flavorful.
Absolute must - onions(videlia or 1015 are mild).
Oregano-used in mexican dishes all the time.
Cumin or comino
Chili powder
serrano peppers
goat cheese
queso blanco

Yes I have an idea for you. Try leaning towards FRESH INGREDIENTS INSTEAD. Fresh garlic, fresch diced roma tomatoes, fresh diced veggies, fresh diced onions, chili powder only. Also, instead of beef try turkey meat. Just as tasty and better for you.

Along with the above suggestion, you have to add cheese! Shredded sharp cheddar, monteray jack or pepper jack are good choices.
