What are the different types of police reports?

if I go down to my local PD and ask them for all the reports under my name or record, will they provide me with all my reports? Are there certain reports under my name that I can not see or obtain?

Absolutely not. Police reports are NOT public record, and they are not obligated to give them to you. Generally, Police will only released reports to you that you initiated (where you are the victim or complainant.) The same goes for criminal histories. You do not have the legal right to be furnished with someone else's criminal history, no matter what you hear.

For the most part yes, as long as it involves you as a witness, defendant/ suspect or complainant they fall under the 1977 open records act.

Yes they are. They are public records. Yoiu will have to pay a fee for them.

all incident and crime reports are available...they are public record...investigation reports are not available...they contain classified info..or priviledged info...
