No matter what anyone else might say...simply being a successful sperm donor does NOT mean one has some mystical link with the resulting offspring.

Need proof? Look at the number of deadbeat parents out there, fathers AND mothers! A large percentage of deadbeats actually were around for some to much of the child's life and still WANT NOTHING TO DO with the child.

Now, if you are saying you slept with a guy whom is now married with kids by his wife, and that you produced his first born, then it depends on several things, among them whether you parted on good terms, or whether you are an unfit parent. If you slept with him and produced kids with him WHILE he was married and parenting other kids, see paragraph 2 above, and add argument in first half of this paragraph.

Absentee parents have been known to press criminal charges against adult children whom have "come looking for their roots," simply because they want nothing to do with the stranger at the door. Others will throw their arms, hearts, and homes open to the "long lost" child. It depends on many things, not the least of which is the character of the person, marital situation, family/work situation/stresses, etc

So, if you are the mother of this hypothetical child, whether born before his other children, or after, maybe. If you let him know that you will not force him to do anything, he could come around to "willing to be a daddy" in a blink of the eye...especially if he is strongly religeous, or has protective feelings for all children, or has a very strong family ethic.

In any case, hope this helps, and I apologise if it seems to ramble and is unintelligble - I've been up for almost 18 hours at this point, and am having difficulty keeping focus!

I would think so. Depends on the man. My dad's only met my half-brother a few times and doesn't like to talk about him, but I know he thinks about him all the time. We're just waiting for him to turn 18 so his mother can't stop him from visiting us anymore. Dad has a new wife & 2 kids with her & another on the way.

If he knows that he has a child.......then yeah. Maybe not that often, and maybe he won't care, but he will always think about the child that he knows about, but doesn't know.
