When hypothyroid, you need to keep track of your thyroid levels. I'm asuming you are on T4 because most people are. If so, you need the morning TSH below 2.0 with diet & exercise to lose weight. If its above 2.0, weight loss will be extremely difficult.

If your MORNING TSH has been under 2.0 for an extended period of time, then it may be time for a change to a T4/T3 medication like Armour or Thyrolar.

Another possibility is insulin resistance. Testing involves a fasting insulin and a fasting glucose.

I don't understand. Do you have a thyroid condition or fybroids.
Look up information on metabolism. A lemon a day, helps. There are some great books on it.
South beach helped me. I just did two weeks and lost 11 lbs. I have thyroid too. I was always craving sweets. It stopped the craving in two weeks. read the book, it works. Not a permenent diet for me, just a two week detox of the sweets to stop the craving.

Best thing to do is get on a diet and if your tyroid has been killed then you should get on medication for that. Snythoid is great and it also helps boost your metabolism so you can loose weight better. I've lost 10lbs since I started Synthoid.
