Any hints on how to let someone down gently?
I have went on 2 dates with this lad and he was nice at first but on the second date over dinner he professed his undying love for me and how he wanted to marry me and have kids!!! Whoa!!! I tried the 'we have just met', 'it's just a few dates, not a relationship' lines but he has been bombarding me with emails, texts and has even resorted to appearing at my house and work in floods of tears telling me he can't cope without me.
Psychological issues aside i.e he's a bit fruit and nut, i don't want to make him feel any worse or add to his emotional problems but i'm genuinely not interested in a relationship with him (even before he went weird on me) and all attempts at reason, logic, tact and diplomacy have failed. Any suggestions?

it could have all the hall marks of a stalker but he could be just very lonely or infatuated though thats pushing it after 2 dates 1 tell him straight either stop bothering you or you will inform the police , since the jill dando case most forces take the harrassment of women by stalkers quite seriously , block your phoneto his no or even change the sim card block your p.c and inform your boss that this bloke is stalking you , they have to take it seriously as saftey of work force is also a big issue , I know you want to let him down gently but don't be worried about hurting his feelings he obviously isn't that worried about yours ,kick him in to touch!

Girl, watch your back! So, now that you know that this man is "Crazy and Deranged" it's time for you to take the kid gloves off. Now is the time to show him your psycho side. Spam him. Do not answer his phone calls. Do not speak to him at all! If he says hello to you, do not respond. Do not smile. Do not scowl. Just keep a straight face and at a steady pace, keep on your way. Do not answer your door to him. If you see him on the street, do not run and do not duck and dodge him just avoid him, all the while though, keeping an eye out for him. Let the people that you live around and your friends and your co-workers know that he is posing a problem to you by not leaving you alone. Better him crying than you. Firstly if that is you in the picture I don't blame the guy, your really hot.
But that aside just tell him that your not interested anymore and that he has freaked you out and made things uncomfortable. If he still persists i suggest that you threaten him with you contacting the police. This man sounds quite worrying. Look after yourself.

Yeah,I've got all your answers.I'm a fellow MALE and the best thing I can tell you to do is ,get someone to KICK HIS AS_. Well if that doesn't work take out a restraining order against him, (about35$) it's worth it .That way if he tries anything you can have him arrested.

wow 2 dates and he wants to marry you wow you must be someone special lol, you have tried all ways as it looks you can always say to the polics you have a stalker, or just hope it passes myabe he has got problems and needs proffesonal help

Call the police and get him done for harrasssment! Im going through something similar to you, luckily its not as bad for me as the guy that wont leave me alone doesnt know where i live or work.

Grow a beard and gain a lot of weight, and then come on to him. That should definitely turn him off without hurting his feelings.

Tell him you are a lesbian and not interested in a physical relationship with a man and are considering a sex change, that should blow him away..
