of direction issues could be misdiagnosed- yet many times there is a few reason for procuring a diagnosis like herpes. in view which you had a pap smear, you additionally could have had cultures taken for issues like chlamydia and herpes. If the subculture grew it out, then you definately've herpes, even nevertheless you won't have had a visual lesion. you have the virus for some prolonged time, even years, and not have one - or ever have one for that remember. it could be impossible to ever say precisely the place and while, or by utilising who you have been contaminated. Your ex considerable different could desire to nevertheless have herpes, until eventually he's had a blood attempt to declare in any different case - and not have warning signs. as quickly as you're contaminated with the virus, you have the two a latent or energetic an infection. Latent point infections mean you haven't any longer have been given any seen lesions, the virus is being supressed by utilising the immune device- yet you nevertheless could be examined and could be valuable. you additionally can shed the virus at any time. An energetic an infection is while there's a lesion on the exterior cutting-edge, actively giving off the virus. I doubt you have been misdiagnosed, I do basically no longer know precisely how they reached the diagnosis. in case you have doubts nevertheless, basically flow decrease back and ask to be examined somewhat for it. And interior the period in-between, please keep in mind that risk-free intercourse does no longer mean you're secure against each little thing and in possibility for no longer something. All it rather skill is "safer" intercourse than no longer something in any respect. possible catch issues you do no longer want, that is basically much less probably to happen. regrettably, it nevertheless can happen, and does. yet with herpes, there is basically no telling once you caught it, and no element going buggy pointing arms.

YES, it is possible. But, anything is possible. If you got tested and it came back positive, check in a couple months to be sure. They could have mixed it up with someone elses and some tests for herpes cannot tell the difference between herpes 1 or herpes 2. I heard a pap smear can detect it but i dont know if it has to be active or not. If you do i know it is hard to deal with but things could be worse. they could have told you that you have Hiv *if you are reading this and you have hiv i am sorry atleast you dont have aids and if you have aids i am truly sorry for you and i will pray for you* so try to live normally and happily. good luck and takecare!

False positives are rare. I'm assuming you're asking because you are in denial or don't have any symptoms.

I don't mean to be insensitive, I'm just trying to make sense of this.

Herpes is a viral disease, and symptoms are not always present.

If they run all the proper testing you shouldn't get misdiagnosed unless you had a false positive test by chance.

possible, but not likely if the proper tests were run. it's a viral infection and takes careful testing to be properly diagnosed. a look just will not do it.
