Please get tested!! I was walking around for years, not even knowing that I had it! I have type two, and here is my story...
I was married on July 4th, 2006, and the days before my wedding day, I was having vision problems, and I was also having feet problems..my feet kept swelling up(this actually was occurring like a couple of years before I got married..and or met my future hubby...(the foot thing)...as for the visual stuff, I began to have visual problems before I got married...weeks before..(I couldn't see that clearly and my hubby to be just thought that it was stress , from planning our wedding!..I "knew" it couldn't be...and then the days before we got married..a few days, I began to feel a terrible thirst/hunger...I even craved milk(which is something I don't like to drink all that much! LOL!) and when I got my hubby to buy some(one pint) I just couldn''t seem to get enough...I was like an addict....totally devoted to that milk!!!
My hubby started to worry....well, then I also, started to feel kind of nauseated..and thirsty/ very hungry....and by the wedding day,,,I was really, really very thirsty....so thirsty , that I started to drink everything around me...but NOTHING tasted good,...and when I got to ice water with ice cubes...the ice cubes with the ice water tasted exactly like this"water with dirt in it!!" It made me even more thirstier! I just couldn't figure out what the heck was wrong with me...so even duriong my wedding,I didn't really get to eat much...I never got to fully appreciate the wedding cake...(a very simple grocery store cake...I just wanted a simple wedding) and everybody told me how absolutely delicious the whole cake was...but, I couldn't even :"taste" the frosting or the cake at all!! My tongue was NOT working in the slightest!
The next morning,,,my hubby and I decided to go to my old hospital, and go to the ER....well, they admitted me right away..and I ended up staying there, for three nights and three days...my body, believe it or not..was severely, severely dehyrated
I needed nearly seven pouches of saline..to get thru my body..and they had to wait to feed me..(I was by then, getting more and more thirsty and starving!) I felt sick, and extremely tired...I found out much later..that I could have either had a stroke, a heart attack, gone into a coma(and maybe never coming out of it), also, gotten sicker, and or died!!!!! I had a glucose reading of 769!!!! (This is a lot higher than a lot of first time diabetics...I have met online!Usually their numbers are like 400 or so...mine was pretty dangerous! )
I never knew that I had had diabetes..and a lot of people are walking around thinking that "they are A-Okay"..when they have no idea!...I tell everybody my story...and I ask them, please, go and get a test to see if you are alright! Just in case....it might make ya feel soooo much better if you knew!! I really didn't feel so hot...I have to tell you....so, get tested...just to check....okay?!
I would rather have a person alive, than dead....I would rather save a life...than not!
P.S. I frightened my family who didn't know that much about this disease..as well as my hubby to be...he was beside himself!!!

If you have no idea regarding diabetes, it's time you learned. It is a deadly disease, but the good news is, it can be successfully managed such that you can live a reasonably long and productive and happy life.
The diagnostic test for diabetes is a blood test. You go see your doctor, and the doctor will examine you and listen to what you've been feeling. The doctor will need to know there has been diabetes in your family. The doctor will direct you to make an appointment for a "fasting" blood test - you don't eat or drink anything after your normal suppertime until the next morning when you go for the blood test. It is simply a needle stick and a bit of blood is taken for testing. You go home and get some breakfast and the doctor will let you know the results of the blood test. If you have diabetes, the doctor will explain it to you or refer you to a specialist called a "certified diabetes educator" - a Registered Nurse who has had specialized graduate training in diabetes management.
The treatment varies with the individual's need. Not all diabetics need to take insulin shots, but even if you do, it's no big deal. It's an easy procedure to learn. I test my own blood sugar three times a day and inject myself with insulin three times a day based on what my blood sugar reading is before breakfast, before lunch and before dinner. It's simple and almost entirely painless. I've had diabetes for years and intend to live at least another 25 - which would make me celebrate my 87th birthday. Take care of yourself and I bet you can do even better!

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. For me, the worst part of this horrible disease is the severe pain I constantly get in my feet. The pain is so bad that I avoid standing and walking as much as possible. I've got to tell you that within the first month, my feet stopped hurting altogether and I can now walk totally pain free.
Believe it or not, I even danced at my niece's wedding last month, something I have not done in a many years. I've been following the book for six months now and my blood sugar is well within normal range. I feel great!
I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

Humm, I have been thirsty all my life. I did not have diabetes until I turned 55 and it runs in my family too on both sides.
It never hurts to have it checked by the doctor. If thirsty is not normal for you tell the doctor. Thirst is a side effect of many different medications as well.
Best wishes.

go to your doctor and ask them to check your glucose levels...It's a simple test.
The symptoms you've mentioned are that of diabetes.. frequent urination and severe thirst...If you do have diabetes, these symptoms would suggest that your sugars are extremely high...Diabetes has many detrimental effects on your body...If not controlled, it will affect your kidneys, eyesight, heart circulation problems which could end with amputation of limbs, and so on....It's nothing you should be ignoring especially if this disease runs in the family...
get yourself checked...
IT'S A BLOOD TEST (GLUCOSE)

Ok some meds will cause thirst but also some meds will cause diabetes and since you have a predisposition for diabetes I suggest a fasting blood sugar test.

If in fact you have a family history of it I would play it safe and go get checked to see if you do in fact have it. You regular doctor should be able to do the tests required to find out......Good Luck
