Cornucopia in Wicklow Street has been doing great veggie and vegan food for years. Lots of places are providing good veggie and vegan choices now, like baked red peppers stuffed with brown rice and mushrooms. If you spot any Hare Krishna people, ask them for any ideas. The Muse cafe at the top of Eason's bookshop in O'Connell Street does a good veggie choice; but I'm not sure about strictly vegan.
There is a n organic food market on a Saturday morning in Temple Bar where you can get great stuff. Also, some of the independent Health food stores do very good vegan food.

Don't encourage You-Know-Who. He's an idiot.
I was in Dublin last week and there was a Hare Krishna centre with a veggie/vegan restaurant downstairs. I didn't go in there (I was helping out at an event and needed to get back before lunch, but the menu looked quite nice and I've been to the Hare Krishna Cafe off Oxford Street and it was good.
I'm not HK BTW, but their cafe's are good places to eat if you're veggie.

Try checking out the list of vegetarian restaurants in Dublin. Here's the link:

Many vegetarian restaurants have vegan entrees or offer vegan options on their entrees. In many instances, the only thing they have to do is omit the cheese sprinkled on top of the food.

Good luck finding a great vegan dining experience in Dublin!

I went to Dublin for 2 weeks almost 10 years ago. I was surprised to find it far more vegan friendly than the "open minded" area I live in!!!

Temple Bar. Oh that is fun! And the Elephant Cafe? Gosh I loved getting my morning coffee there.

I became addicted to salt and vinegar "chips" (french fries) while there. My friend Noel had to stage an intervention.

When I went, they loved Americans. I was alone for brekkie one morning when this woman and her kids asked if they could dine with me because they liked my accent! They're very friendly.

Find yourself a nice American Express office and get at least some pocket money converted before you go. My flight was horrid and I couldn't wait to get off and get a coffee.
