I took some hamburger out of the freezer, and put it into the refrigerator a day or two ago. Now I am going to be gone all weekend. Is it ok to put it back in the freezer?

No! It has already began to grow microbes. Now if you want to cook it and freeze it, that would be OK, then use it later.
But not in the raw state.

Steak or meat that is of a good quality and fresh cut can sometimes be re-frozen, but hamburger and poultry are not the cleanest meat. I would brown it well until it is at least 185 degrees in the middle. Then you might refreeze it for later. You could even make a few hamburger patties or meatballs and cook em up to use later. Have you ever had food poisoning? If not trust me, it is not something worth saving three or four dollars worth of meat for.

NO, cook it up real quick then throw the cooked meat into the freezer. Refreezing leaves a huge potential for bacteria growth. It may not poison you this time, but why take the chance?

You need to cook it before you freeze it again. Otherwise, ice crystals will form, and it'll taste bad when you defrost it again.
Just brown in and use it for tacos, sloppy joe, etc or cook the hamburgers, leave them a bit underdone, and then warm them up and let them finish cooking

Yes you can, contrary to everyones belief that you should not re-freeze meat once it's defrostet, its wrong. You can buy previously frozen meat, take it home and throw into the freezer and it will not hurt anybody, However with poultry I would be hesitant because of salmonella.

No it is dangerous. You can cook it and freeze it and use it later in a sauce. Or just throw it out.

Only if you've cooked it, and even then not necessarily so.

Your government's health agency will have information on-line about food safety. Check it.
