Herpes is contageous.
Herpes can be cured.
It is a virus & so very resistant, taking constant treatment for ~ a month, ~4 times a day. Std. medicine does not usually work.
Scratch around & you wiil find better cures - this was my experience:
I had herpes sores round my mouth from 13 till ~32 when I found a cure. They have never come back. While I know what I used works, I do not know if you could take the pain of the treatment in the other area that get herpes. 70% Alcohol(96% purity) & 30 % Di-ethyl ether (latter has a flash point of -12'C, & a boiling point of 33'C) It needs to be kept in a tightly sealed glass bottle with a metal lid otherwise it looses its strength. put over all the area directly by finger that you have ever had skin disturbacces. Every woman who has used this on facial herpes has been cured, - most men cannot keep it up for the month!.

It depends on your gender and whether you are taking taking suppresive medicine. It can be as high as 10% or as low as 1%. It is easier to spread it to a woman than it is to a man.
Having sex with someone who knows they have herpes is much safer than someone who has no symptoms and does not know they have it. They know when they are more likely to be having an outbreak and they can avoid sex during that time.
70% of all new herpes cases were contracted when the partner had no symptoms at all. In most cases the partner never knew they had it.
There is no cure, but there is treatment. Many do not bother taking it because they see herpes as no big deal. 90% of people who have it do not even know it. The majority of those who do know have very mild symptoms. The severe cases you hear about are very rare.

I got clinically diagnosed with the herpes simplex virus (type 2) about six years ago, when I was still attending college and had a stupid one-night stand. I just made a massive mistake that one time and suddenly I felt like I was going to have to live with the consequences for the rest of my life. The worst part was feeling I could never date guys again. In the end, who wants to go out with someone that has sores around her you-know-what? But since a friend shared this video everything changed https://tr.im/treatmentsherpes2015MbeA
Not only was I able to clear away all traces of the hsv from my body in less than 21 days, but I was also able to begin dating once more. I even met the man of my dreams. This method provided me the opportunity to be happy and experience real love. Now I want to enable you too by sharing this with the whole World.

If you use protection and there is not an outbreak and the person is on meds, the chances go down a little, but most likely you could still get it. There is no cure for herpes, just medicines to help control outbreaks.

Herpes is highly contageous, and no, it never goes away. You can spread herpes even when you do not have a breakout. It can be an invisable condition, and you can really get it. If you have it, stay clear of people with HIV positive..........it can KILL them, in a speedier way.

If you have open legions even with a scab, you are very contagious. There is no cure at this time. Also want to point out that sharing bath supplies is risky. If you want to be really safe, spray some bleach in the tub/shower after you are done.
