Sinus infections are caused by bacteria, and as such, you would need an antibiotic. These are not available OTC, you would need a doctor's prescription for them. You could instead try using Echinacea, as it's a natural immune system booster and will help your body fight off the infection itself. Also, you can take ibuprofen or acetominophen for pain relief (motrin or tylenol).

PS Sudafed is not an antibiotic. It's purpose is to clear nasal passages that are inflamed due to allergies.

sufaded thats the best one out there for sinus pressure..Before my surgery I used to live on it..now that I had the surgery no more sinus problems..I hope that this information is helpful.
