Ouch!!! I've gotten them that bad before...and I know how bad it can hurt. Outside of massive antibiotics--you can do pain relief measures. Putting warm compresses on the area can help (but will make your face red), and just take lots of advil or tylenol. I've even mixed the 2, take a dose of advil (2 advils) then a couple of hours later take a dose of tylenol (2 tylenols). Then keep alternating the 2 drugs every 2-3 hours. They're both anti-inflammatory drugs, but work differently. My pediatrician had me doing that with my daughter's ear infections, and it seems to handle moderate pain rather effectively. Hopefully the ENT can help you get this cleared up!

This will definitely help with the pain and also "flush the germs" out.
For painful headaches and sinus pain especially, you need to attack the pain at the source. Try a saline nasal RINSE (not a spray.) A full warm water saline rinse goes in one nostril and out the other. It soothes with warmth, it draws out the entire gunk and shrinks the tissue (like swimming in the ocean, but without the eye stinging).

Buffered salt doesn't 'sting' as much as plain salt water. You can use a new method like Nasopure, or the vintage, Netipot

You can do this as often as you like with no side effects.

You don’t need a prescription for this therapy. If you live in a state like mine, they’ve pretty much “outlawed” sudafed medicine. Drug-free is really the way to go on a frequent-use basis

I have problems with my sinuses and was given a spray by my doctor called Beconase. It's tastes a bit like bluebells actually. But all it does is losing any mucus and make it easier to blow my nose, so I don't know if that would be any good for you. I hope you feel better soon.

I have been taking about 6000mg of vitamin c a day. this sounds a lot I know but I have done loads of research and there are no harmful side effects. I have found that it has cleared my nasal passages and restored some of my sense of taste and smell. It might work. Nothing lost in trying surely?

sudafed is the best treatment..I know the feeling I went through the same thing..I went for the surgery about 2 years ago...never had a problem since..But before surgery I used to live on sudafed..I hope this is helpful to you.
