I was just wondering, I was diagnosed with asthma, which was a surprise to me.

I stopped taking my medicine because of the side effects. My lungs hurt, particularly my left lung hurts in a certain spot. But basically it seems different spots tend to hurt, almost like the feeling that I remember pneumonia felt like.

I was just wondering if this pain is normal with asthma. It seems my asthma is more about shallow breathing and occasional attacks. But more about shallow breath and sometimes some pain. Does that sound like your asthma?

Btw I did work out today and breathed somewhat heavily. Could that have created some pain?

Thanks.

I have had severe asthma since I was born. No, that doesn't sound like asthma that's being well controlled if you're having pain after exercise. When I get like that, I have to see my doc. Since you stopped your meds, your lungs aren't getting the air they need to function. If the side effects bother you-talk to your doc. I had that problem too.

Are you wheezing?? My asthma feels like that when I have an infection or an attack. Exercise is good because it will make your lungs strong and improve your asthma!!

Pneumonia is hard on the lungs and it's not uncommon for people to develop asthma after they've had it.

My attacks have shallow breathing, mucous and a feeling of being sufffocated? It's not pleasant at all.

There are lots of new drugs to manage asthma. Talk to your doctor about medication management. Sometimes, it takes your body a while to get used to new medications. The 'rescue' inhalers have side -effects that increase your heart rate. Since you're having spots that are hurting, see your doctor right away. Asthma can be also triggered by exercise-it's called exercise induced asthma. You can avoid that by using your inhaler before you exercise. If you're breathing shallow all the time, that's not normal and you should see your doctor. You could have an infection . Allergies can trigger asthma too. Have you been tested for that? There is a tablet you can take once a day(Singulair) to control asthma symptoms. Ask your doctor about your options. Sometimes it takes a while to find the right combination of drugs to keep the symptoms under control. Good luck!

I have been attack -free for a year due to the meds I'm on, shots and environmental management.

My doctor (allergist) has me on an assortment of inhalers and medications that keep my symptoms to a minimum. I've had pneumonia twice over the years. Mine has improved with age, I can exercise regularly etc. I had to accept the fact that I'll have this disease my entire life and learn to manage it as best I can and adapt my lifestyle. Hang in there. You can be part of your team with your doc in managing your asthma!

asthma only hurts during an attack

please see your dr about your meds - it's not good to stop taking asthma meds unless u have v mild symptoms

if pain is during exercise, it may be referred pain (it's your breathing that hurts but you feel the pain elsewhere)

maybe you have a chest/lung infection? or the air was bad that day. i get tight chested a day or so before i get sick - my asthma early warning system!

I have had asthma since I was three years old. It doesn't hurt unless you are having an attack. I think you should go to you're doctor, if the medicine they gave you was causing problems you need to let you're doctor know. There are tons of different inhalers you just have to find the one right for you're body.

at an analogous time as pot isn't bodily addictive, that's mentally addictive. i might recommend you decrease your self to perchance as quickly as each week to as quickly as each 2 weeks. no longer in hassle-free terms that yet once you reside in united statesa. that's illegitimate, and you do no longer want to get in hardship with it. it might influence your finished existence. be careful, and don't be around stupid pot heads that take unneeded risks. Like utilising around with it. figuring out to purchase great quantitys of it. Or want to tell each physique and invite strangers around to smoke. You by no skill know who's who these days. Pot is comparatively innocuous, much less risky than ingesting, and could be criminal. yet its no longer. Now to the coughing, yep regular. And the grade of pot you smoke is the two going to make that greater advantageous or worse. If its ditch weed (meaning its rather low priced) its going to be harsh and nasty. no longer in hassle-free terms that b ut smoking the main inexpensive could have mildew in it or spider mites. You get what you pay for. What might decrease the coughing is the type in which you smoke it. If its all you may get my advice is the two do no longer purchase it or to smoke it out of the two a water bong or a vaporizor. which will make it much less perplexing to inhale and it won't make you cough up a lung. Plus if its that undesirable the water acts as a clear out and the vaporizer you do no longer unquestionably inhale smoke you inhale the fog from the burst thc glands.
