You're going to have trouble preventing it at this point.

The best advice anyone can give you is to go to your doctor and ask for some advice. Working out for an hour a day is going to help, but in the end your body is just going to do it's own thing.

I had preeclamspia. I was in karate until I was 8 months, and then I was hospitalized with hypertension and edema. The doctor explained that although I did everything correctly, my body just decided to follow the preeclampsia way.

I suffered the same thing with my second pregnancy at 36 weeks. The nurse practitioner told me that although I was drinking alot of water I wasn't drinking anything with calories. I was advised to drink gatorade or powerade. She also told me that drinking flat soda would help; it had to be a dark cola in a small can like pepsi or dr pepper, have someone shake it until it is flat then sip on it. I thought i was weird at the time, but it helped. I didn't have high blood pressure as some would think. Just not enough calorie drink and I had to take iron pills and eat more beef. The day after giving birth; my legs and ankles were so swollen;I spoke to a herbalist and was told to take fish oil the kind from Norway with lemon, one teaspoon twice a day. It made me urinate like crazy but it helped and the swelling went down in less than a week. -- Try drinking more calorie drinks and try the flat dark cola. I hope you get to feeling better soon.
