a good point has come to my knowledge. while death and hell and the lake of fire has an end. OUTER darkness might be the only thing that equals eternal damnation.

Those that repent will be forgiven, even if they come out of the lake of fire. To those that are sanctified the lake of fire has an immediate ending because all PEOPLE go through it.

Let's see......eternal condemnation (damnation) for what, 60 or 80 years of human life?

It doesnt work that way. The Bible has been edited through the centuries by men. Men wanting to ensure the church would go on by means of threatening the masses with eternal hell, unless they worshipped regularly and contributed to the church in "his" name.
We see it today in virtually all of the modern day services......10% or burn forever.
Organized religion is a scam.

"And Death and Hell (Hades) were thrown into the Lake of Fire. This is the Second Death, the Lake of Fire. And if anyone's name was not found written in the Book of Life, he was thrown into the Lake of Fire." (Revelation 20:14,15)

Speaking of this Lake of Fire, it is written: "And the Devil who deceived them was thrown into the Lake of Fire and Brimstone, where the Beast and False Prophet are also; and they will be tormented DAY AND NIGHT FOREVER AND EVER." (Revelation 20:10)

This is what Jesus says in Matthew 25:41 to the "goats",
"Then He will say to those on the left, 'Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the ETERNAL FIRE which has been prepared for the Devil and his angels...' "

Eternal condenation couldn't end or it wouldn't be eternal. Hell has an end and the folks there go to the lake of fire, and death will eventually end as those left will be the redeemed and there will be no more death.
Those not saved are in the lake of fire and will stay there forever.

LDS perspective: As far as I understand, "Hell" is when those who have not repented of their sins and partaken of the blessings of the Atonement, will suffer "even as Christ suffered" for their sins. Once the "payment" for whatever their sins were has been made, they will go to whichever Kingdom they have justly earned. But, "eternal condemnation" could also be thought of as those who do not get to spend eternity with Christ and our Heavenly Father...

We have faith that God is the source of each little thing solid. as a result, hell is the situation the place God isn't, the place we are able to be endlessly separated from Him and all issues solid. there'll be no mercy, no friendship, no no longer something. all on my own for all eternity. it rather is the eternal torment. yet fortuitously Jesus took our sins on Himself while He died on the pass. The fee for sin is dying and separation from God, via fact that God is holy and He won't be able to tolerate unholiness. Jesus paid the fee for our sins, yet He did no longer could via fact He became acceptable. that's what's so astounding, that somebody so acceptable might sacrifice Himself for trash like us. He became resurrected in 3 days, conquering dying =) Now, via fact our debt has been paid with the aid of Jesus, we don't could undergo hell anymore, all we could do is settle for the present.

The only eternal condemnation there will be is for Satan and His fallen angels. The third hell which is called Tartarus; meaning a confining of angels, were they will be forever in torment.

i'm not sure what you are saying however those who enter into the lake of fire will remain which is why we're in the dispensation of grace now leaving time to repent now while one yet live because once you died it's to late to repent then.

The Christian teaching is that death has an end but not hell. So eternal condemnation does not end.

Traditions are not the issue, these are simple scriptural statements.

You've misunderstood that verse. This prayer was prayed right before Jesus went to the cross. Jesus was referring to all those he came to save, all of His elect people. None of them were lost when he died for their sins. After the cross the son of perdition (Satan) was bound in hell. Please cross reference this with Revelation 20 and John 12:31

Hmm... am trying to understand what you mean.

What you're suggesting is that since God is so loving, there's no hell for us anyway, right?

If you're refering to interpretation, I think Jesus meant it literally. "All my disciples will stick with me, save one (Judas)."

And though it's a lovely ideal and one we all hope for, I'm afraid hell is eternal condemnation. You see, love is a choice. Some of us choose to try to find our Creator and love Him, others don't, for reasons all their own.
But I will agree with you on this: We will definitely be surprised about who makes it to Heaven and Hell. Tradition can usually cause us to judge people and categorize them without taking into account that anything can happen.
I also believe that God gives us every opportunity to find him. Hey, "Seek and you will find." right?

Ultimately, God will resolve this for us anyway, right? Peace, brother.
