why is it ok for a vegan to say its ok to wear pearls b/c the oyster wasnt killed for the pearl but its not ok to drink milk or eat chez? the cow wasnt killed. you cant milk a dead cow. i dont understand please help me. the oyster went thru the same thing the cow went thru.

The oyster is harmed when people farm for pearls. True vegans don't wear them.
As for the dairy cows, they are horribly mistreated. Here's a site that might help: www.milksucks.com. They are a no-holds-barred website, viewer discrection advised.

Oysters are killed for the pearls. The oyster needs to be open to get the pearl and once they are open, they die. Veganism is a lifestyle choice to avoid all animal products..period.

What vegan told you it was okay? Very strict vegans/animal rights people won't wear pearls or leather shoes, etc.

Nobody can say whether one is "ok" and the other isn't. Its all a matter a personal opinion.
