Are they just poorly made or is there something people do unintentionally to break them. My roommate's friend is worried that he could have impregnated a young woman or contracted a disease from just that happening (of course it's too early to tell). What say you?

I have had one break 2 or three times. its not uncommon with the amount of friction causing the temperature of the condom to rise and then faulter. I think i would recommend plan parenthood for your roomate and his girlfriend

Most breaks occur because of a condom not being put on right, or the guy was in too much of a rush and poked it with a nail, or maybe it could be because it sat in someone's pocket too long, could be because the expiry date is now over and done with. This happens way too often, and if people were more careful of what they buy, the correct size, putting them on a little more carefully, and not keeping them in direct sunlight, heat or a pocket then breaks would occur less.
And no, I"ve never had one break

yeah, it can break either from being poorly made, not the right size for you, or the position you are in and the pressure thats being put on it.

A condom can/will break if not put on properly, from the amount of friction during sex.

I have broken a number of them. it just depends on how you play and other mitigating circumstances.

Nope have not had one break however if one does it is because it was not put on properly.

Yep, the very first one I ever used and I haven't used one sense, I just pick my girlfriends a lot better so there's no chance of anything.

Condoms are really gross and dumb, IMHO, and are a liberal solution to a liberal way of living, for the most part. If people were animals and nothing more, condoms might be a valid idea.
