I have two questions.

1. I asked this question before and it was not shown - it was taken off - why?

2. My first question was - I'll shorten it this time. I saw a man abuse a puppy infront of the school including infront of my 7 year old son. He was hitting, choaking and kicking the puppy. No one did anything - even myself, mainly because I'm a woman and he is a man and aggresive- but thoughts of running over him with my car came into my mind - I just want to know If I am a bad person to thinking things like that

Okay, so it is a couple of days later - Thanks to everybody who gave their oppinion. Just want to make a view things clear that I didn't include in the question last time.I am a (white) woman - S-Africa citizen it is not safe to confront a black, agrivated man.
Here things work differently, he might just pull a weapon on me or do to me what he did to the puppy. I was not the only parent at the school who witnessed it, their were other parents as well and all of them was too afraid of this man to do anything. There was one male parent - and I did ask him to do something, but his reaction was rather to turn his back- not because he doesn't care but because it's not safe.
I did phone the police - but till today has not had a responce from them. The man like most black people in S.A was on foot and can't affort cars so they walk - following him would be dangerous and difficult as they take foot paths through field and stuff - and where would that take me - straight to the township.

What you thought was a natural impulse, and is OK as long as you don't act upon it.

You had the right idea, just the wrong instrument. Running him over with your car puts you at risk of hitting the puppy. I keep an old oak nightstick under my front seat for just such events. If, afterward, he wishes to call the police, he can explain why I hit him, and go to jail, too.
Don't feel badly about thinking what you did. Your impulse was to defend the defenseless, and that's why we're here.

Look, everyone can have these feelings. This does not make you a bad person. The important thing is that you didn't act on it.

if you are really bothered by it, do some soul searching. If you believe in God, ask for forgiveness and pray that he'll keep these thought away from you.

Good luck and God bless.

Though you should not think those things (you should pray for him instead), you should have turned him in, got his license plate, watched to see which house he went into or something. God may have allowed you to see that so that you could have that puppy rescued. Don't ever just turn away and do nothing when you see someone abusing a person or animal.

God gave us animals to love; we will have to answer to abusing them or allowing their abuse.

Regardless of what Dissturbed says, your word would have been good enough to convict this man.

From your question it seems that you are troubled by a lot of feelings of fear. You were afraid to intervene and get help for the puppy and you are afraid of your very normal feelings of anger toward the man.

Let go of fear. That is your answer. This is what holds so many people down and causes them to be unable to live full and healthy lives. If you think about it, I’ll bet you will think of many other occasions when fear prevented you from acting in a way that you knew was right, or when you were afraid of your very natural emotions.

God does not want you to be governed by fear. Jesus told us not to let fear control our lives. Don’t be afraid of doing what you know is right and don’t be afraid of your very normal feelings of anger. Ask God to help you let it go and you will be amazed at the peace of mind you will find.

You are not a bad person for thinking those things, since you didn't act on those thoughts.

You should've called the police though...animal cruelty/abuse is a crime in most states

Nope. I would have called the cops.

Who knows why they take things off. I can say things that should come off and get away with it, then turn around and have several answers that are OK pulled. I just don't use an account that I care about for answers anymore and don't worry about it.

To answer your first question, that happens to me all the time. Since this site is mostly automated some of the questions fall into computer oblivion sometimes. Don't take it personally.

To answer your second one. We aren't responsible for what thoughts come into our heads, it's what we choose to do about them that we are responsible for. If a thought about sex pops into your mind you now have to choose whether to chew on that thought or toss it out. If you choose to chew on that thought and to continue thinking about it becomes sin for you. I'm sure once the thought came into your mind, you threw it out. So you are safe. You didn't sin.

Your question infers there are good people and bad people. This comes from a strange doctrine.

The truth is.. since the garden of eden we all inherited Sin and thust we are ALL BAD PEOPLE.

So in answer to your question. Are you a bad person. YES! Definately.

Was it wrong of you to think that? YES! it is part of your inheritance of sin so get used to it.

The only thing to know now is are you going to wallow in your bad personess or are you going to accept the cleaner?
