Smoking causes vasoconstriction of the blood vessels, which over time, causes hypertension. Hyptertension adds strain to the hearts workload, which in return can cause mulitple problems including stroke. A stroke is basically an blockage of blood flow to the brain, the vessels are depleted of o2 which in leads to the symptoms we see, sided weakness, loss of speach so on so on.
