I am invited over to friends' places for dinner probably about 2-3 times each week (although sometimes I end up doing the cooking).
My hosting guests varies a lot. I would say Once a fortnight on average. Some weeks it will be three dinner parties and some weeks none.
There's no better way to spend quality time with friends and family than over a slow, lazy meal with some great wine. Especially if you do a degustation menu.

Over for dinner.. None. My cooking skills are about as good as just thawing chicken and fries. My roomate is a little better, but I'm scared whenever she's in the kitchen..
I go over my friends and have dinner every Wed. or so. They're married and we sit down and have a real meal.
Other than that sparingly. I don't like talking on the phone so I usually get together with my friends who live far away (30 mins+) for dinner to hang out and talk. Twice a week and sometimes those are lunches instead...

Oh, about 2-3 times a year. Our families are so busy. And they invite us twice a year. Occasionally there's a business dinner here at home, but that's once a year.

Three or four times a year. Hardly ever. But I'm an abrasive person. I get why noone wants me over...except when the party is going then everyone thinks it's cool.

Hardly ever for both. We are homebodies and don't really go out that much with other people.
